2011 Candidate List:

This is a list of all candidates running for office in Kentucky in 2011. Please pray for each of these people. For our state to succeed, we need to elect righteous people into office (see I Tim.2:1-4).

Important Election Dates:

1/25/2011 – Filing deadline for Primary, must be at Secretary of State’s office by 4pm
4/1/2011 – Last day for non-Republicans/Democrats to declare for office
4/18/2011 – Last day to register to vote for primary
5/17/2011 – Primary Election Day - 6am to 6pm local time
8/9/2011 – Last day for non-Republicans/Democrats to turn in their petition and pay the fees
10/11/2011 –  Last day to register to vote for general election
10/28/2011 – Last day to file as a write-in candidate [4pm]
11/8/2011 – General Election day - 6am to 6pm local time
12/13/2011 – New governor takes office

Bold = officially filed with Secretary of State [paid filing fee]
Normal = officially filed with Registry of Election Finance [able to raise money]
Italics = announced or considered in media to be a possible candidate
