2012 Presidential Candidate Chart

This table will list all of the candidates for President of the United States and where they stand on the issues in order to help me (and you) decide on whom to support in this very important election.

As you can tell, this table is not yet complete. Much of the information is from the candidates’ websites, most of which leaves much to be desired in regards to where they really stand. If you can fill in the blanks, know of any errors in this table, or can improve the wording of what I have here, please notify me immediately so that I can update it. Also, if there are any issues important to you not on this list, notify me of that as well and I will try to update the chart.

Most views will hyper-link to the location where that view is discussed (with the primary source being the candidate’s own web page) so that you can verify if this chart is true. If you send me any information, please provide the appropriate links so that others can verify it if they so want to. If this is in the form of information not currently on the Internet, you must give me permission to add the documentation to my SkyDrive so that others may view it as well.

My goal for this chart is to list a maximum of 100 issues and 100 candidates. Changes may occur by replacing issues [I realize some are similar enough to be combined] or replacing candidates. I also have the goal of providing so much information regarding where the candidates stand so that more people can get their candidate information from AnyOtherSource than from any other source. J

I recently voted for the Ryan Plan to make sure that Medicare is secure for future generations – those now under 55 who are affected by the blueprint. In fact, I’ve argued that we should call it “the under-55 plan,” since everyone that age or older will have their current benefits fully protected. But the Ryan Plan is just the very first step on health reform, and I voted for it with an asterisk with further reforms in mind.

The federal government has imposed expensive and often counter-productive social and welfare programs on the states and the people. It is time to admit the mistakes, and get the federal government out of the way. This will allow states, cities, churches, charities and businesses to offer a helping hand instead of a handout where they live. People closest to the problems are the best ones to solve the problems effectively.

First, stop paying the crooks. An estimated $70 to $120 billion a year is paid to crooks by Medicare and Medicaid. This is the best place to save money at no cost to honest people.
My proposed legislation will offer seniors new choices in Medicare, as well. It will give them the option to choose, on a voluntary basis, either to remain on the existing program, or to transition to a more personalized system in the private sector with greater options for better care. If they select the personalized system, beneficiaries would receive support to cover their private sector premiums. Giving all seniors the option to choose their insurance provider will improve price competition and help lower costs for the program.

Abortion is a term cleverly designed to misinform and misrepresent a heinous criminal act against women and unborn children. In reality, it is murder – the slaughter of God’s creation. Our nation must join together – black and white – in an outcry against abortion. We must seek to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision and seek the mercy of God for our past. As your President and as a private citizen, I will be actively involved in leading that cry.
Science has proven that a fetus is a living and separate human being apart from its mother. The debate now revolves around when does a mother’s desire to abort her child supersede the constitutionally protected rights of her unborn child.

We must demand that our borders be secured. We must reinforce local law enforcement and border patrol who are working alone in our interest. We must utilize our National Guard forces to supplement their efforts.
America needs to protect it borders. There has never been a time in US history where the Federal Government has ever done this to its American citizens.
Reinforce the entire border fence with Mexico; Bring our troops home from the Middle East to patrol our own border with Mexico;
Secure the borders by putting more border patrol agents and U.S. military enforcements.
I promise when I’m President of the United States of America, I will seal the northern border with Canada and I will seal the southern border with Mexico. I will not only put up one fence, but I will put 5 fences including a wall of concrete mixed with steel and rebar 20” wide and 20 feet high. The Constitution specifically requires the federal government to provide for the national defense. As President I would immediately begin construction on a wall stretching the entire length of our southern border. I would deploy the appropriate military resources to provide security during construction, and to continue to secure the wall after construction.

We must eliminate that choice by demanding that the entire budget be cut.

Competent teachers must be competitively paid. They should teach and not be encumbered by bureaucracy.
